About WOMEN OF BROADWAY
Women of Broadway is an original cabaret written by Becca De Tar. The first musicals showcased two types of female characters: the love interest and the comic relief. As our society has evolved, so have our stories. Musicals have helped us learn and talk about love, death, racism, mental health and so much more. Today, we have more than romance and laughs; we have well-rounded, relatable characters. This production will showcase excerpts from shows such as Show Boat, She Loves Me, The Color Purple, Dear Evan Hansen, and many more. Come join us for a trip through the history of Broadway’s leading ladies!
