Jesus Christ Superstar
Show dates were August 19-28, 2016
ABOUT THE SHOW |
Music & Lyrics by: Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber The greatest story ever told. The most famous rock opera of all time. With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jesus Christ Superstar is loosely based on the Gospel’s account of the last week in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, beginning with his arrival into Jerusalem and the ending with the Crucifixion. Here, the myth is stripped from the man to reveal an all-too-human soul, troubled and doubting those closest to him, the whims of those who judge him, the heartache of a woman who loves him and the motives of the man who ultimately betrays him. With songs such as “Everything’s Alright” to “I Don’t Know How To Love Him” this profound musical is directed by Ed Trout. PHOTOSClick here for photos of the show. |

Monty Python’s Spamalot
November 25 – December 11, 2016
Book & Lyrics by: Eric Idle Music by: John Du Prez & Eric Idle Monty Python’s Spamalot is not your average story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. It is full of everything you would expect from Monty Python including singing, dancing, bad jokes that are maybe a little off color and a bevy of beautiful showgirls. Spamalot mashes up Camelot with Vegas, madrigals with power ballads, and killer rabbits with a ‘softer’ Sir Lancelot. This show shamelessly skewers musicals in general with choice jabs to Fiddler on the Roof, Funny Girl, Phantom of the Opera and Guys and Dolls. Winner of three Tony Awards including Best Musical, Spamalot is a perfect night out without the kids. Directed by Rich Baker. |
